An MoU has been signed between Indian Space Research Organisation and Central University of Jammu, Jammu for setting up a centre called “Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Science”. The facility being set up jointly could be considered for the extension activities of ISRO relevant to that region, managed and maintained by Central University of Jammu. Research and Development related to space science, space-based disaster management, technologies for the development of the region etc. will be given prime importance at the centre.
