ISRO has been building the technical infrastructure at various centres for continuing the current programmes ona larger scale and for future developmental missions. CBPO undertakes a Comprehensive Organizational level review of Technical Infrastructure proposals received from various ISRO centres though mechanisms of Programme Coordination Board (PCB) and Programme Management Council (PMC).

These infrastructures are realized through various projects with definite financial implications and timelines. It is the responsibility of the core project teams to complete the projects in time and within the approved project estimates to meet the overall road map of ISRO. Capacity Building Program Office(CBPO) takes the responsibility to bridge the gap between centres and Department for obtaining approvals and review the progress of the approved projects.
